Portfolio - My Educational Experiences

Due to my educational experience, I am currently in the right grade, or higher grade and learning the things that I should. I started a year early by going to head start. In the 3rd grade I stopped my speech classes, and I tested high on my reading scores. Also in 6th – 8th grade I got good academic reports from my teachers for trying hard even though I went to two different schools. I feel that even though I switched schools I was never taken away from my education, because I really only switch half of 5th grade. My 6th grade I went to a school for a full year even though I moved houses I didn’t move schools. My 7th grade year I came here two weeks before my school started and a week after the school here started so I still don’t think that I missed much. As of now I just try to focus in my classes and do the best I can and try to go above in certain classes

End of Year Reflection – Greatest High School Obstacle

My greatest obstacle over the past two years have mainly been my grades. I say that because I have always had a hard time with keeping a 3.0 gpa, I can easily get a 2.67 but for me it was hard. I think that the class that I have the most problems in is Spanish and I say that because, ever since freshman year I have been having a problem. I don’t understand it and it frustrates me, but I try. Like now has of the moment I have so much Spanish work that I need to do and it so hard I hear it and I know a little bit but I just can’t comprehend it.

Free Post

I am super excited for this weekend because I am going to visit my family. I haven’t spent a holiday with my family since Thanks Giving it has been a very long time. I get to see my cousin De’Janique who I call my sister because she is exactly 1 month and 1 day older than me. De’Janique and I have been really close and we used to do everything together, but then when I moved to San Pasqual Academy that stopped and now I can’t wait to see her. We have so much to catch up on. Also I can’t wait to eat my Aunt makes the best food I think, I haven’t had a cooked meal like hers in a long time so I have so many things I am waiting to do.

Playwrights Project Play Completion Reflection

Free, I say free because I am finally done with the play. I have worked so hard trying to make it perfect and also to put emotion into it. Another reason why I say free because I don’t have to worry about it anymore because I know that I tried my best and I am proud of my self, I feel like I have less stress. Next week I am happy because I can’t wait to see how the plays turn out. I am excited for my classmates and other peers to see a part of my play. Also I am super excited to see my work performed by professional actors.

SPA Prom 2011

I went home and I took a nap. Around 2:30 in the afternoon, I woke up and I started to get ready for prom. I started to curl my hair it was easy I used a lot of hair spray, the funny thing about that is by the end of the night my curls still feel. Around and hour later the best person ever came over to do my makeup, after that I put on my dress and made sure everything looked good. Close to five Andrew came to my house and it was weird because I had gotten him a boutonniere and I didn’t know how to put it on so my house social worker was looking it up on her Iphone. We took a lot of pictures then we went to the bus. On the bus I sat with P’jay, and Sabrea it was a lot of fun we talked about a lot of things and took a lot of pictures. At prom Andrew and I took pictures, and P’jay, Kris and I took pictures and I had a lot of fun. After prom I took more pictures, but over all I had a lot of fun.

On Thursday I went on a Field Trip with Mr.Beedle, it was kind of fun for the most part. I was embarrassed when Mr.Beedle took us out side of the museum to tell us the he received complaints about our behavior in the museum. It was funny because he told us not to touch anything, don’t talk loudly, and don’t take pictures, and then the kids did the exact opposite that he just said not to do. Over all I think that it was pretty good except for the little drama, but I think that next time he should just choose the people that are passing his class to go. I think that it should be a reward. My favorite part was watching the seals on the beach, they were so cute.

Welcome my wonderful students! Today I am going to teach you all about the meaning or evidence, what is summarizing, quoting, and paraphrasing. Evidence is a text that you found in a reliable source that will help you with your focus question. You summarize evidence when it is a long selection of text such as multiple sentences or an entire paragraph. To summarize you retell the ideas of the text using in fewer words. You quote evidence when it is a short and very specific section of text that you need to copy exactly to keep its meaning. To use quote you copy the text exactly how it is appears and put quotation marks around it. Your paraphrase evidence when it is a short and simple section of text that you can easily put into your own words. To paraphrase you retell the ideas and put them in you own words. To help you remember this, you should practice this in all that you do especially in all of the assignment that I will be shortly giving all of you.

Comment-Seeking Post

There are so many decisions and thoughts running through my mind. Its all crazy, like one of them is I don’t know weather to go on pass with my mom for Mother’s Day or stay back with Debbie. I know a lot of people will read this and think well that is obvious I would go with my mom. But at the same time Debbie is kind of like my second mom she is the one who is raising me and she is the one who took on the mom position when I need her most even though I can’t stand her sometimes I know that she will always be there. But on the other hand this is my biological Mom the woman who with out her I wouldn’t be here in the first place, my only thing is that my mom might have to work so there is not point of my going for Mother’s Day if I am not going to be able to spend time with my Mother. But other than that there are other things going on so I am asking for Help!! Please help me decided what to do for Mother’s Day.

President Obama’s Big Announcement

To learn about Osama bin Laden’s death, I read “Al Qaeda on the ropes? Little Arab outrage over Osama bin Laden's death” and learned that since 9/11 the US has been at war with Al Qaeda, now since he is dead there has been other volunteers to help bring the rest of them down. I read more than one but also the families who lost someone during the 9/11 attack were happy and they celebrated his death because they feel gratitude mixed with relief but also I read that it brought back a lot of memories that were painful to the family.

Now that I have read the news, I predict that the Al Qaeda will try and come back stronger with more bombs and things against the US, I predict that because to me considered a power struggle, also because I believe that they want to seem powerful and they want to take over. Another thing that I predict is, that even though he is dead our troops will still be over there because there are also more people in Al Qaeda who are just like him and I think that with people celebrating that someone else will step up and take leadership of Al Qaeda.

No I don’t think that it is odd because I don’t personally think that it matters on what ethnicity the person is what he or she said or wrote is the important part, I mean any one can say something it could have been a Asian or Black guy or girl. It is the importance of the message that they were trying to get out that matters. And it must have been important to the people who put them there. We are a very diverse campus and we have a lot of different people who some from different backgrounds, so I think that it is not odd because of the way this campus is.
